Railsplitter New Training Facility

WESTCHESTER COUNTY – The Yonkers Railsplitters announced Tuesday that Hardball Training Center in Elmsford, NY will be the team’s new spring training complex. With 10 weeks until the Railsplitters season opener, pitchers and catchers are due to report to the new state of the art facility.

The team, now expanding to a second lower level farm team out grew its facility at it Governors Field. “While it was convenient to be right next door to our home field we simply didn’t have the space for everyone to get the full workouts they needed.” Said Jonathan Zeron Team President. The new interchangeable facility has over 10,000 square feet of training space, which can be reconfigured within minutes to from all batting cages to all bullpens or a combination of bullpens, batting cages, and infield training area. It also has a free weight area and players lounge.

Players who have reported to the facility early have noted how spacious it is and that all the extra space means more time working out.

The Yonkers Railsplitters are to open the season against the Too Hot on April 2nd at George Washington.
