The NYCMBL released its final 2017 regular-season schedule on Tuesday. The schedule, delayed after issues with the field leases of two teams a week before opening day forced the league to completely rework the schedule.
Double A will play a 33 game schedule with playoffs commencing July 29th.
Single A will play a 35 game schedule with playoffs commencing August 5th.
For the first time in league history there will be games on all the major holiday weekends.
CHANGES TO THE PLAYOFF FORMATS:
Single A will have two brackets:
Championship bracket (top 4 teams)
2 rounds of best 2 out of 3
Consolation bracket (bottom 4 teams)
Round robin (3 pool play games)
Top two teams play a single elimination final
Double AA will be an 8 team double elimination tournament:
Final two teams play in a best 2 out of 3 series
